Sherin hails from the state of Karnataka. She was born in Bangalore. She studied in Baldwin Girls High School, which is regarded as one of the best schools in Bangalore. She started modeling in her teen ages and she got the chance to act in her first film when she was only 16 years old in the Kannada film Dhruva. After that, she was flooded with offers to act in Hindi, Tamil and Malyalam movies.
She shot to fame with her debut film. She made the youngsters’ hearts skip a beat with her first film. She came in just a few scenes in her second film Jaya but managed to liven them up by her vivacious presence. Followed was Student No. 1 where she played opposite debut Sibi Raj(Sathyaraj’s son). She was critically acclaimed for her performance in the film Whistle. Sherin did full justice to the role, which had grey shades. She is flooded with offers from kannada,Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. She is choosy and prefers to accept only roles, which has scope for acting.She recently appeared in the hit Malayalam film Moonnamathoral, cor-staring with Jayaram, Jyothirmai and Vineeth. Sherin is staring together with Nanda for the film Urchagam, which was previously titled Coffee Shop. She is also appearing in the film Bheema.
